SCREW PILES / SCREW ANCHORS

Piletech uses in house software (SAAP) to model both installation criteria and load bearing capacity, including all other elements of pile/anchor integrity. Either click on Enquiry or call 0800 PILE IT for free design assistance.

Design solutions are fully compliant and can be supported by geotechnical and structural peer reviews if required.

Where necessary, designs are verified on site, using sustained static load testing according to AS2159-1995. Production Pile installation requirements are then linked to that of the test pile to ensure conformity to the proven design.

Screw Pile / Screw Anchor Capacities

Current maximum single pile tension Load 1500 kN
Current maximum single pile compression Load 3000 kN
Moment capacities of larger sections can exceed 200 kNM

Suitable Ground for Screw Piling / Screw Anchoring

| Depth is unlimited and screw piling generally becomes more
competitive with depth over alternative systems. Screw piles
have difficulty penetrating rock, ie SPT blow counts greater than 100, although penetration relating to SPT or CPT results
differs widely depending on specific geology. Founding into
weathered rock or consistent sedimentary deposits are ideal
situations for screw piling. |
