Piletech has six engineers supporting design and construction supervision. The company also has thousands of installation records, together with thousands of sustained static load tests throughout New Zealand in all manner of soil types. Coupled with in house design software Piletech is well place to ensure performance and constructible design solutions. Piletech engineering carries in house Professional Indemnity Insurance and has registered engineers able to sign producer statements for design and construction.
 
Primarily screw pile design involves solving the following simultaneous equation.
 
  1. What helix(s) will provide the load resistance require in the target strata
  2. What shaft will be required to deliver the helix(s) to the required strata
 
Piletech has literally thousands of installation records and hundreds of sustained static load tests results. Piletech can solve this equation.
 
Only after solving this equation can the design be checked for all other competencies.
 
Shaft Design - Resistance to shear loads, moments, buckling, durability, fatigue, deflections, cyclical load deflections
   
Helix Design - Shear failure, punching failure, folding failure, fatigue
   
Interaction with Structure - Punching or bursting cap, transfer of tension, earthing, stray electricity, fatigue
   
Installation Issues- Required clearances, pile tolerances, vibration, noise, safety
